First Aid in Practice: An Experience That Could One Day Save a Life

How would you respond if you found someone unconscious? What should you do in the event of severe bleeding or a head injury? And how should you react when encountering a person under the influence of drugs? These were exactly the situations that all GENICZECH-M employees experienced first-hand during an immersive first aid training course delivered by the instructors from the První pomoc Nanečisto (First Aid in Practice) project.

The course was far from a traditional classroom lecture. After a brief introduction, we rotated through five realistic training scenarios where we dealt with emergency situations in a practical way. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), unconscious casualties, head injuries, severe bleeding and communication with people under the influence of drugs – every scenario was practised under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Feedback from our employees showed that these realistic simulations were the most valuable part of the programme. Thanks to the hands-on approach, we gained greater confidence in our ability to respond correctly should we ever face a real emergency.

At GENICZECH-M, we believe that being a responsible employer means investing not only in modern technologies and a high-quality working environment, but above all in our people. That is why we support education and training in areas that could one day make a real difference to someone's health - or even save a life.

We would like to thank the instructors from the První pomoc Nanečisto project for delivering such a professional and engaging training course, as well as all our employees for their active participation. We hope we will never have to use the skills we learned - but if that moment comes, we will be better prepared.
