Last week, we welcomed pupils from primary schools in Velký Ořechov and Lukov to our production facility. During their visit, they discovered the world of precision engineering and learned how the components we manufacture in Zlín are used by leading machine builders across Europe and beyond. Our precision parts are found in applications such as packaging and pharmaceutical machinery.
To demonstrate the level of precision we achieve in our manufacturing processes, we compared our machining tolerances to the thickness of a human hair. It was a simple way to show that, in precision engineering, even hundredths of a millimetre make a significant difference.
In our tooling department, the pupils had the opportunity to handle various cutting tools used in CNC machining before seeing them in action on our machining centres.
The assembly department offered a hands-on experience as well. Rather than just observing, the pupils tried several assembly tasks themselves and discovered that modern engineering is not only about advanced technology but also about skilled people, precision and teamwork.
We believe that first-hand experience is the best way to inspire young people to explore technical careers. That is why we work closely with primary and secondary schools across the Zlín Region, support technical education and regularly open the doors of our production facility to students interested in modern manufacturing.
We believe that the future of high-quality engineering depends not only on advanced technologies but, above all, on people. By supporting technical education, providing practical experience and encouraging young talent, we help inspire the next generation of engineers and skilled professionals.
We would like to thank the pupils and their teachers for their visit and look forward to welcoming more schools in the future. Every visit is an opportunity to introduce young people to an industry that helps shape technologies used around the world.
